A Special Boy(특별한 아이)

There was a boy who understood what the birds were saying.

새의 소리를 이해할 수 있는 소년이 있었다.

The children admired him and the neighbors treated him well.

아이들은 그를 동경했고 이웃들은 그를 따듯하게 대해주었다.

The king recognized his power and asked him to help with his work.

왕은 그의 능력을 인지하고 그에게 자신을 위해 일을 해줄 것을 부탁했다.

The king did everything he could to help the boy develop his power.

왕은 그 소년의 능력을 발전시키기 위해 모든 도움을 주었다.

The boy worked hard to make the king happy.

그 소년은 왕을 행복하게 만들기 위해 열심히 일을 하였다.

One day, the king sent the boy to a neighboring kingdom to help the king there.

어느날, 왕은 소년에게 이웃 왕국의 왕을 도와주라며 이웃 왕국으로 보냈다.

His job was to find the royal seal that had been stolen.

그의 업무는 도난당한 왕국의 인장을 찾는 것이였다.

The king of the neighboring kingdom gave him three days to find the royal seal.

이웃왕국이 왕은 그 소년에게 국왕인장을 찾는데 삼일을 주었다.

"Sir, I'm just a boy who can communicate with birds"

"폐하, 저는 그저 새와 소통이 가능한 소년일 뿐입니다."

The boy felt burdened.

소년은 지쳐버렸다.

"I must not disappoint my king.He has done so much for me."

"나는 왕을 실망시키지 않겠어. 그는 나를 위해 많은 것들을 해주었어."

He thought hard but couldn't think of a good plan.

그는 열심히 생각했지만 좋은 계획이 떠오르지 않았다."

"I'm sure I will be killed tomorrow."

"나는 내일 죽임을 당할거야"

He punched the floor with his fist.

그는 바닥을 그의 발로 걷어찼다.

Just then, a man crawled out of the floor and bowed before the boy.

그러자, 한 남자가 바닥에서 살금살금 나오더니 그 소년 앞에서 고개를 숙였다.

"Please don't kill me,sir. I'll return the royal seal."

"제발 저를 죽이지 말아주세요 폐하. 제가 국왕인장을 되찾아 오겠습니다."

The man had followed the boy after hearing about the search.

그 소년의 수색에 대한 이야기를 듣자 그 남자는 그 소년을 따라갔다.

He had hidden under the boy's room.

그는 소년의 방 아래에 숨었다.

The boy was surprised but acted normal.

그 소년은 놀랐지만 안놀란척 행동했다.

"What's your name?"

"이름이 뭐니?"

"My name is Eye, sir", the man said as he showed the boy the seal.

"제 이름은 눈입니다." 그 남자는 소년에게 인장을 보여주며 말했다.

When the boy heard the man's name, he understood why he had been so terrified.

소년이 그 남자의 이름을 듣자, 소년은 왜 그가 겁에 질렸는지 이해되었다.

He thought the boy had said, " I'm sure Eye will be killed tomorrow."

그는 소년이 "아이가 내일 죽임을 당할거야."라고 말했다고 생각했다.

The boy took the seal back to the king.

소년은 인장을 왕에게 가져갔다.

The king said, "Because of your special powers, your life will be great" and he gave the boy a large reward.

왕이 말했다. "너의 특별한 능력으로 인해 너의 삶은 훌륭하게 바뀔것이다." 그리고 왕은 소년에게 큰 보상을 해주었다.
